516 ARTS is pleased to present Cromática, a solo exhibition by Mexican artist Tania Candiani. Making its debut in the United States after originating in Oaxaca then travelling to Guadalajara, Hermosillo and Ciudad Juárez, the exhibition explores color, sound, and synesthesia—a condition in which one sense is simultaneously perceived by different senses. The exhibition will be accompanied by public performances, tours and discussions that bring together Mexico’s rich artistic history with contemporary issues.

MAY 30-31 - THE FLAG WOOL & FIBER FESTIVAL - ARIZONA HISTORICAL SOCIETY PIONEER MUSEUM IN FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA
It is the largest festival of its kind in Arizona, attracting over 3,500 attendees and growing every year. The festival includes fiber animal exhibits, live shearing, fiber and cultural demonstrations, a fiber arts competition and exhibit, workshops, vendors, local food, and more.
The 2020 Flag Wool & Fiber Festival Fiber Arts Competition, From the Land, will examine how the land around the artists' influences their  fiber arts practice. EVFAC FALL FIBER FIESTA 
Due to Covid 19, Fall Fiber Fiesta will be held in-store at the Espanola Valley Fiber Arts Center. Artists will not be present during this event, knowledgeable staff will be available to assist you. We have a strict social distancing policy in place with a limited number of people present in the store at one time, and masks are mandatory. This sale will be throughout November and December, during normal business hours: Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm. There will be extended holiday shopping hours at the end of December, details to come!  We can’t let a fall season roll by without having the Fall Fiber Fiesta!

ALBUQUERQUE FIBER ARTS COUNCIL - SPRING 2021
​In light of the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council, after reviewing the situation locally and noting that many major fiber art related events have been postponed or cancelled in 2021, has made the decision to POSTPONE Fiesta 2021. A new date of April 12-16 , 2022 has been selected. Put it on your calendar- we'll see you there!
​In the meantime, we are working on plans to host an exhibit, in person or virtual, of fiber art works, much like our Spring 2020 exhibit, in 2021. As those plans are developed, we will be sending out more information.
