Melissa Cody is a fourth-generation Navajo weaver from a family known for textiles of extraordinary quality, Cody was just 5 when she started learning the craft. Together with her mother, grandmother, aunts, siblings, and cousins, she grew up selling her pieces at such venues as the famed Santa Fe Indian Market.

CALIFORNIA FIBERS
California Fibers, founded in 1970, supports artistic growth and professional advancement for contemporary Southern California fiber artists. The imagination and superb craftsmanship of these artists place them in the highest echelon in their fields. The group has an extensive exhibition history in the USA and abroad. Many of its members are well-represented in museums and private collections and are recipients of prestigious awards from around the world . Their creative expression includes weaving, basketry, sculpture, quilting, embroidery, felting,  surface design, knitting, crochet, wearables and mixed media.​

Dayak: The Art of the Head-hunters of Borneo

This recently opened exhibition, dedicated to the art and material culture of the Dayak people from Borneo, is the largest of its kind in the last forty-five years. On display are 170 works mostly produced between the early19th and mid 20th centuries. These objects of great charm and mystery are on loan from the MUSEC, four other Swiss ethnological museums and private collections.

THE NATIONAL QUILT MUSEUM
Located in a 27,000 square foot facility in historic downtown Paducah, Kentucky, the museum's three galleries feature exhibits of the finest quilt and fiber art in the world. The museum features three exhibit galleries. The museum's vibrant and breathtaking exhibits are rotated 8-10 times per year. The primary gallery features quilts from the museum's collection which includes over 600 works of art. The two other galleries feature unique and diverse traveling exhibits.​

The Quilt Nihon (Japan) Exhibition is an international exhibition sponsored by the Japan Handicraft Instructors’ Association (JHIA). It is the biggest quilting contest in Japan, and was conceived to promote patchwork and quilting.

The Weavers Guild of Minnesota (“WGM”) is dedicated to preserving and advancing the arts of weaving, spinning, and dyeing. Since its founding in 1940 by six women, including Hilma Berglund, WGM has established itself as a nationally-recognized resource for the arts of weaving, spinning, and dyeing.
