I use only wool from Navajo-Churro sheep, the breed which I raised since 1990.
These sheep give me a sophisticated and wonderful natural color palette with their colorful wool:
white and black plus many browns and grays and patterns.
This historic and now rare breed arrived in this hemisphere with the Spanish Conquistadores in the 1500s.
I am fortunate enough to have found their wonderful fiber and this thoroughly sustainable material
enables me to Give Sheep a Job.

the wool to pull out grass, poops, twigs and other unwanted stuff) first. It is a long process to become Lana Dura wool felt! |

Welcome to Enchanted Mill and Ranch. We are a Custom Cottage Mill located in Stanley, New Mexico, USA. We are a husband and wife owned and operated custom fiber mill and we support and encourage farm to yarn. Our purpose is to help the small fiber farms with added value products. We are a full service custom fiber processing mill, offering a wide variety of services for your raw fibers and will process your fiber as if it is our own. You will always receive your fiber back, and yes, we will process each fleece individually if that is your wish.

FeltCrafts® Rolling Machine for Wet Feltmaking
The FeltCrafts® Rolling Machine takes the physical labor out of making felt. It can be used for all felting applications from heavy rugs to featherweight scarves and laminated felt. The machine rolls your project so you can start designing a new one! Lay out your project; wet the wool; and roll it evenly in your felting mat. The project roll is then placed on the FeltCrafts Rolling Machine. The machine is a must for production felt makers. We have been building the machines since 2004.
The FeltCrafts® Rolling Machine is available in roller lengths from 28 inches to 80 inches. The price depends on the size of the machine. Each machine is custom made for our customers. We ship all over the world and machines are wired for the electric in the country they are going to. Needle Felting Machines & Needle Felting Adapter
The FeltCrafts® Needle Felting Adapter was developed to convert any sewing machine into a needle felting machine. We offer the adapter separately and we also offer sewing machines that we have converted using the needle felting adapter. In addition to the small needle felting machine offered below, we offer full-size new sewing machines that have been converted. The makes and models vary.

Don is trained as a structural engineer and has also studied felt rug making with well-known felt makers. In 2003, he designed the first FeltCrafts® Rolling Machine – a steady speed machine. After making consistent improvements on the machines over
the years, Don converted the rolling machine into an absolute speed control machine which allows the felt artist to vary the speed of the rollers. This is the machine that is currently sold. Don designed the FeltCrafts® Large Needle Felting Machine during 2009 and 2010. In addition, over the years customers have contracted Don to design machines for their specific needs. Don designed and manufactures the Feltcrafts® line of hand-made needle felting tools.
