From the Editor: We met Barbara Knupper several years ago during the first Fiber Art Trail, sponsored and organized by the New Mexico Fiber Arts Center in Española, NM. It was marvelous. Bill, my husband, and I  were on the road for several days, staying along the way, as we visited fiber exhibits, studio's, shows, trails – following maps thru New Mexico cities, into the countryside and to outliers along the border with Colorado.

One of the groups of fiber artists were located at
Los Poblanos, the Historic Inn and Organic Farm, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.
"In the heart of the Rio Grande River Valley, set among 25 acres of lavender fields,
enormous cottonwood trees and lush formal gardens, Los Poblanos is undeniably
one of the most stunning properties in the Southwest. From the minute you drive
down the long tree-lined allée flanked by fields of lavender and rows of vegetables,
you know you are in a very special place."

We are very sorry to say that the pandemic meant the end of this event along with many other fiber opportunities, some have returned, but this has not. However, The Artful Artisan, Barbara Knupper is producing her fabulous weavings and can be found at a number of venues in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and surrounding events. Visit her website for more information regarding Barbara's "where abouts".
